Access and Participation Plans

Our Access and Participation plan

Our Access and Participation plan (previously known as our Access Agreement) aims to ensure all people we work with have equal access to Higher Education (HE) and for all students to have access to the support and encouragement they need to reach their potential.

Our current Access and Participation Plan sets out how we plan to do this: Download 2020-26 Access and Participation Plan or view this accessible summary version on our Reports and Statements page.

The Plan

The plan explains how we aim to support students to access HE, complete and do well in their studies, and progress on to their chosen career with a range of outreach activities.  Outreach activities within our community and local schools involve inspiring students about science, their study options, key subject areas, and sharing insights into career options and university life. For all students who commence their Higher Education at AECC University College, we are keen to ensure:

– AECC University College students all have equal chances of completing their studies.

– students benefit from exceptional teaching and learning outcomes, to enable them to gain the skills and experiences needed to progress on to professional employment or further study after they graduate.

Did you know all HE providers charging fees (above £6,000 per annum) must have an approved Access and Participation Plan and the plan must be regulated by the Office for Students?
