Accommodation is plentiful in the locality of the college. Each year the Students' Union prepare an accommodation guide to help you find somewhere to live.

How do you find accommodation at the AECC?

1) Halls of Residence

The AECC is pleased to offer halls of residence through our relationship with Lulworth Student Company who run Hurn House and Union House in central Bournemouth. These luxury halls are situated just two miles from the college, on a direct bus route (which offers discounted student rates), whilst also being a short walk to Bournemouth’s trendy shopping, bars, restaurants and beach.

AECC have 70 rooms available within this facility, which take the form of ensuite flats with shared kitchen facilities. These will be offered on a first come, first served basis and can be secured with a payment of £420 (£300 refundable deposit and £120 non-refundable fee). Although there is no cut-off date for room bookings, all rooms are expected to be booked up by April/May, so make sure you secure your room early to avoid disappointment .

Halls of Residence Costs

Costs are from £135 a week for a 42 week tenancy - all prices include all bills, internet access and 24 hour CCTV, security services and a secure entry system

We also have some useful information on local guesthouses and short term lets.

How much does accommodation cost?

Costs currently average from £80 to £100 per week depending on the type of accommodation offered. When you agree a rental amount with a landlord you should make sure you know exactly what this covers in terms of household bills (such as gas and electricity).

If you are unsure, our Students' Union has a great deal of experience and can offer you advice on all aspects of lettings.

We ask our students to complete an accommodation survey so all information we provide is from the information we receive from our students.

If you would like to discuss accommodation in more detail, please contact the SU Manager or call +44 (0)1202 436293.
