PhD for AECC Medical Physicist

Congratulations to Alex Breen, who successfully defended his PhD thesis at Bournemouth University, Faculty of Science and Technology. His research was on “Exploring the spine and lower limb kinematics of trans-tibial amputees” (at least that’s the short version!)  Alex is a Medical Physicist on our IMRCI team, his PhD was funded by The AECC and Bournemouth University. Over £600 raised for Movember

Congratulations AECC graduates!

A new cohort of chiropractors and healthcare professionals have graduated from the world-renowned AECC in Bournemouth. Over 100 students attended their graduation ceremony at the Pavilion on Friday. As well as those graduating from the masters in chiropractic programme there were also a range of postgraduates picking up awards from ultrasound to orthopaedics and paediatric musculoskeletal health. Human bones donated to AECC's anatomy department

We had an interesting visit this week from Charles Cutts who came to the college with a collection of medical human bones. The bones are the accumulated collections of his Father and Grandfather (both GPs). Charles made the decision to donate the bones to the anatomy department of the AECC for the education and advancement of our students.

Paul Lewis at the AECC

Paul Lewis came to the AECC in September on behalf of Thumper to give a free workshop to the MSc 2 interns. Paul introduced chiropractic students to advanced massage therapy techniques, including his unique approach to treatment of soft tissue issues (dynamic angular petrissage). His workshops focused on improving patient outcomes by augmenting chiropractic treatment with methods of therapeutic massage.…
