Mustafa joins the School of Chiropractic as a chiropractic lecturer and as the MSc Chiropractic Pre Registration Course Lead. His role will be to assess clinical education to chiropractic and other health professional students across school’s foundation, pre-registration and post-graduate frameworks.

Philippa is a lecturer in Chiropractic within the AECC School of Chiropractic, coming from background in veterinary nursing as well as roles within the NHS. Philippa also runs her own private clinic, seeing a wide variety of patients in particular the older demographic.

Dr Angelo Battiston

Dr. Angelo Battiston is a Programme Developer and Unit Leader for the MSc APP Functional Musculoskeletal Health and a Clinical Tutor. Angelo is an advocate for evidence based sports chiropractors and he was instrumental in developing the SPRiNT (Sport Injuries Intern Team) programme.

Jane Cook is a Senior Lecturer at AECC University College, a member of the Staff Association and Radiation Protection Committee. She is responsible for creating and implementing the teaching of imaging at the institution, including the screening and reporting grading of radiographs taken at the AECC University College Chiropractic Clinic.

Jonathan leads the Functional Management elements of the Master of Chiropractic - MChiro (Hons) course, part of the wider Clinical Management Units in Years 2 and 3. He also lectures on Functional Anatomy in the Human Structure Units, supports in Chiropractic Technique classes, supervises undergraduates in the Chiropractic Clinic.

Kyle Cox

Lecturer in Therapeutic Radiography

Kyle is a Lecturer in Therapeutic Radiography working on the BSc Radiography courses. He has a BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography and a PgC in Academic Practice. He is a HCPC registered Therapeutic Radiographer with experience working in radiotherapy treatment, planning and education, as well as experience with working with patients on oncology clinical trials.

Data Protection Officer

Daniel is the University College's Data Protection Officer and supports the Senior Management Group in ensuring that it meets all Data Protection obligation. Daniel is also our lead Chiropractic Clinician responsible for the delivery of excellent patient care within our chiropractic service and ensures the safety of its patients, clinicians and students. He is committed to developing the chiropractic team, providing clinical leadership and operational management and ensuring students develop as practitioners, providing best care for their patients.

Deborah Horne

DCR - Senior MRI Radiographer

Debbie Horne is a senior MRI radiographer at Bournemouth Open Upright MRI, based at AECC University College. She is responsible for providing a clinical MRI service for referring clinicians from the AECC University College Chiropractic Clinic, local chiropractors/osteopaths/physiotherapists, GP’s and hospital consultants. The department is also involved in research and we provide the scanning expertise to support these projects.

Megan Hawthorn

BSc, MSc - Lecturer in Ultrasound/Radiography and Unit Lead.

Megan is course leader for the MSc Breast Imaging course, and the lead for the Breast Imaging unit on the MSc Medical Ultrasound course, teaching and developing imaging-guided breast services to include interventional techniques. Megan is also involved in teaching and development of Medical Ultrasound units with a specific interest in obstetrics and gynaecology, including the delivery of multiple short courses.

Lucie Rochfort

Course Leader and Lecturer for MSc Speech and Language Therapy (pre-registation)

Lucie qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2004 and worked in the NHS in Dorset up until joining AECC University College. She has been a highly specialist speech and language therapist and a service manager for the Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy and Neurotherapy Teams at Poole Hospital. Having supported students within her clinical role, opportunities for guest lecturing and teaching within Clinical Excellence Networks Lucie developed a passion for facilitating the learning of others.

Sarah Rogers

Sarah Rogers is a Lecturer of Clinical Sciences within the AECC School of Chiropractic. She is currently involved with teaching at the undergraduate level. Sarah has taught in all year groups including supervision of interns in our on-site teaching clinic. Sarah was full time for four years at the institution, until dropping to part time hours at the end of 2022. In her time here she has taught across various units, including a time as unit lead. Other responsibilities have included organising summer school activities for prospective students. Sarah’s interests lie in rehabilitation and functional movement, student teaching/learning and clinical skills and diagnosis.

Dr Trevor Wing

BSc, MSc, D.Med – Lecturer in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Interventional Gynaecology and Breast ultrasound

Trevor is the unit leader for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the School of Radiology and is responsible for developing, managing and delivering the obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound units and one of the MSc and associated short courses lecturers. Trevor also supervises MSc students through their imaging research projects.
