Dr. Georgina Allen is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist and Director at St. Luke’s Radiology Oxford Ltd, and a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Biography

Dr. Georgina Allen obtained her Medical Degree at Southampton University and first trained as a General Practitioner in Nottingham. She then moved into Radiology and held posts as a Fellow in Orthopaedic Radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) in Oxford, Honorary Consultant at the NOC, and Consultant Radiologist posts at the Royal Hospital Haslar as a Squadron leader in the RAF (now retired), West Wales Hospital Carmarthen, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and University Hospitals Birmingham.

She was involved in the organisation of the medical imaging for the 2012 London Olympic Games and volunteered for many diagnostic and interventional sessions for the athletes.

She travels the world as a guest speaker at musculoskeletal conferences and training courses, and has published widely both in journals and books.

Current Activity

Dr. Georgina Allen is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist and Director at St. Luke’s Radiology Oxford Ltd, and a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is the Medical Director of Imaging for InHealth.

As well as her clinical work, she is the Course Director for the musculoskeletal ultrasound training courses run by St Luke’s Radiology. These are hands on courses providing training in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound to health professionals from many different backgrounds and with a range of previous experience. She is also a Teaching Associate and Student Advisor at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.

She is a Section editor for the European Journal of Radiology and the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine.
